{FAQ} Halloween Event + coloured Bat Breeding

From October 27th 2011 around 2pm CEST
until November 1st 2011 around 2pm CEST

There are timers ingame, and on the Official Announcements for the end-time.

* How can I access the Event?
All players level 2+ can access this event by clicking on the Event Place in the City.

You'll then see this layout:

* What is special about this Event?

Firstly, there will be new crops to grow during this Event:

Venus Flytraps & SlimyEyebushes
Another crop will also be required for this quest:
The Bonetree,
a "spooky crop"
from the Moonlight Mania Events
Each of these three required crops give 12 EP by 2x2 plot,
and have a growing time of 2 hours.
This time can be shortened by adding manure and/or super-grow.
* What else is special about these crops?

You will receive 5 of each of Venus Flytraps and SlimyEyebushes seeds, as these are new Event Crops.
If you don't yet have any Bonetrees, you'll also get 5 at the start of the quest.
If you drop down to zero of any of these three crops, you'll receive 5 new seeds after about 2 hours.

These plants, just like during every Moonlight Mania Event, can only be planted on the Main Farm!
After the event, they will be stored in your inventory for further Moonlight Mania Events, their stats will probably change too.
Secondly, there will be a new drop-item: The Slimy Snack
You can get some:
  • whilst harvesting your Main Farm (ONLY !)
  • as a gift to/from your neighbours/buddies
  • Can be purchased in the Supply Store
  • 1 Slimy Snack - 2 BB
  • 50 Slimy Snacks - 85 BB
  • 150 Slimy Snacks - 225 BB
  • 250 Slimy Snacks - 330 BB
* Will there be an exchange to EP/CC for leftover Slimy Snacks?
Yes!
They will be exchanged for 30 EP and 30 CC each
* How does this Event work?
The Tutorial explains it pretty well:

Your job is to help your new spooky neighbor, make their house even scarier until it becomes a real frightening place.

To do this, you’ll need Venus FlyTraps, Slimy Eyes, Bones from the Bonetree and Slimy Snacks that you have to donate to the Quest.
For the garden (icon on the far left):
  • 2000 Venus Fly Traps + 50 Slimy Snacks
prize : Venus Flytrap Item

time: 12h
gives: 180 CC

For the veranda (icon in the middle): [
  • 2500 Slimy Eyes + 100 Slimy Snacks

gives: 170 EP

For the pantry (icon on the right):

For the upstairs room:

And once you've completed all 4 areas of the Quest,
the final rewards will be unlocked:

Prize: A Halloween-sticker
(that you'll find in your Sticker Album)

and...

The coloured Bat Breeding !

The Coloured Bat Breeding Feature is only exclusively unlockable during the Halloween Event !
You might need to F5 or log-out/log-in to see the bats appear as choice animal in the Breeding Pasture.

In the future, it will be available to be unlocked on regular Moonlight Mania Events.
As soon as we have any further information about this we'll keep you informed.

Note: The TGC members will receive 2 new recipes as they have been informed by email. These will be trade level 2 recipes, and they will appear in a couple of hours/days?

All facts & figures were correct at time of testing.
Please note that these stats could change at any moment...

Bat Breeding - Bat Guano Production
Breeding coloured bats

Albino bat, Brown bat, Hungry bat, Furry bat, Vampire bat, Sporty bat, Rocker bat, Heroic bat

- - - - -

How to make coloured bats:

Firstly, you must have completed the Halloween Quest (see post above) which can be started on the Halloween 2011 Event, then probably can be continued on Moonlight Mania Events (check the Official Announcements regularly to see when the next ones will be!

You can make some coloured bats in the Pasture as you do for any other animals.

Select "bats"

Then, choose four bats (from your inventory) and transform them into something NEW: a coloured bat.

MIXING coloured animals RARELY gives good results

NOTE: You will not get the 4 bats back - they go to retirement, and you must then replace them with 4 more bats

Feed them 2 power-feed and validate, then breeding will begin.
(Power-feed can be bought at the green-silo, and/or made in your Mill)

Normal time = 6 hours
Add pheromones (gifts from neighbours and/or can be purchased in the Store) to reduce production time.
With 1 pheromone = 3 hours
With 2 pheromones = 1,5 hours
With 3 pheromones = 45 minutes
With 4 pheromones = 22 minutes.

Also if you have unlocked the Wisdom Tree Rune, it will reduce the time from 6 to 5 hours

When the NEW bat is made, you'll see a pacifier sign.
Harvest your new bat, and you'll get a pop-up with the new bat that you have produced.

Exchange Value (CCs) for coloured bats:

Albino bat: 1600
Brown bat: 4400
Hungry bat: 14000
Furry bat: 45000
