Artisan's Village

Welcome to the world of Artisan made items!
Learn to become a Baker,
Learn to become a Confectioner!
Learn to become a Florist!
Become a Bahami Spa Manager!

Use your farm produce to make bakery products, delicious jams, beautiful floral arrangements, and Spa Creations!

* From what level can I start Crafting?
From Level 40+
* Which types of Buildings / Professions can be developed here?

At this moment, there is a Bakery, a Confectionery (Jam Factory), a Floristry & a Bahami Spa
* Can I build all these Trades: Bakery, Confectionery, Floristry & Spa?

At this moment, you can open 1 for free, a 2nd one as a purchase, and the 3rd trade will open automatically when the 2 other trades are both at Trade-Level 3.
This however does not concern the Bahami Spa, which has it's own requirements. (see below)

The one that you select at the beginning is the first one that you will build.

If you wish to open a 2nd Artisan Building, this will take you to the Bank to unlock the 2nd building for 1€99 / US$ 2.99 / £1.75

Additionally, a bonus in this opening pack is "300 ingredients"
This will be a mix of different special ingredients. (Salt, Sugar, Florists Wire)
.

Having unlocked the 2nd trade through the bank is the ONLY way to have at least 2 trades, at this moment.
This will, however, only "unlock it" and you'll still need to do the quests / challenges / climb through trade levels.

For example:
if you choose to develop the Bakery :
Before:

Fully upgraded (5 steps):
Once you've validated your choice of career/building,
you'll then be taken to the Farmer's Society Building,
where you'll find the first of 5 quests to learn to become a Master Baker/Confectioner!

* Why is there only one challenge on the Quest (no silver-gold-diamond challenges)?
This is because the 5 Quests are split up so that you learn to make one aspect of the Career at a time.
* I see that I need Salt (for the Bakery), Preserving Sugar (for the Confectionery) and Floral Wire (for the Floristry) and herbal elixir (for the Bahami Spa): Where can I find these?

  • These can be found as drop-items whilst harvesting your farms
  • You can buy some in the Supply Store.
    50 units for 10 BBs
    500 units for 80 BBs
  • If you do not have enough to complete a recipe: You can also buy some in the Craft Building that you've unlocked, by clicking the corresponding blue + icon on the recipe ingredient list.
  • You can also win special ingredients on the Farmwheel
  • You can also buy some in the regular mini-Events: Crafting products.

* What happens when I complete each Quest?

You'll win an upgrade for the Trade that you have chosen.

When you return to Artisan's Village (or refresh your browser page) you'll notice that you have an extra level unlocked, allowing you to make new recipes.
* How do I make some crafted products?
When you open the Bakery (for example), you'll see the Level Overview, you can see a basic item (like dough) and a finished product (like bread roll).
The "Basic Item" is always the one at the top of the list. (on this example: Dough)

To produce the basic item, you'll need ingredients like wheat, and some new products like salt.
To produce the finished product, you'll need a basic item and other ingredients.

Any items shown in RED mean that you don't have enough.
You must produce some on your farm, or buy some at the Market, or use the pay-BB option by clicking the Blue + Icon

If you're missing some water, and you choose to buy some from the craft building, it will open up the Water Tank pop-up, and it will cost 1 CC per unit of water bought.

* How long does it take to produce item?
Each item has various production times...

Level 1 items take about 2 minutes
Level 2 items take about 4 minutes
Level 3 items take about 6 minutes
Level 4 items take about 8 minutes
Level 5 items take about 10 minutes
* What can I do with the crafted items?
You can use the basic items to make other products.
  • You'll see the "Basic Items" on a special section in your Barn inventory, called "Trade Products"
  • The finished products can be seen on a shelf in the Artisan Building, just under the 'skillpoints' progress bar.
These products can be
  • stored on the shelf, until you choose what you want to do.
  • used to level-up in the craft-building
(will add the same amount of trade-points that were given when making the item.
for example, an apple jam gives 20 trade-points when made, if you choose to "use" it to upgrade - it will give 20 trade-points to the level you are on)
  • gifted to your neighbours/buddies, they'll see them in their Pantry, especially if the items are from a trade that they do not yet have built!!
  • or eaten! (see below)
These actions can be done either by clicking on one of the items on the shelf

make sure you have the ToolTips option "on" in your settings!
or by clicking the "Pantry" icon in the Barn inventory (at the top-right)
This will open up your Pantry, where you can choose what you want to do with your produced goods

This is where you'll see the goods sent to you by your neighbours too.
You'll see them, and can use them, eat them or whatever, even if you don't have the 2nd or 3rd trade opened
* What is the point of eating a finished product?
By "eating" a product, you get a special bonus, which can be:
  • Experience Points (i.e. Bread Roll = 200 EP)
  • EP Bonuses (i.e. Easter Marmelade = +30% EP bonus for 12h)

You can see what the bonus for each item is by hovering your cursor over the "crafted product on the shelf"

You'll also see, on the left of your farm, a 'buff chart' that will show you bonuses/Buffs you now have "activated" (See below).
* Is there a maximum of items that can be "used" to level up in my trade building?
Yes. The maximum is 5 items per day
* What happens when I've completed the level bar in the Bakery / Confectionery/ Floristry?
You'll see a "!" appear at the right side of the bar.
You MUST Click on this icon to unlock the next quest in Farmer's Society.
However! Level 5, at this time, has no limits.
* How many items can I make in the same batch?
The limit is 50 items.

Since the 27th of June 2012, a new Category System will be implemented into the Crafting Buffs/Bonuses.

As you can see on the charts below,
each product now has a "Buff Category":
  • none = Takes up no "Buff" Slots when eaten
  • Silver = Takes up a silver "buff" slot
  • Gold = Takes up a gold "buff" slot
  • Diamond = Takes up a diamond "buff" slot
* How many "buff" slots will I have?
To start with there will be:
  • 1 Diamond slot
  • 2 Gold slots
  • 4 Silver slots
You can use the bottom arrows to scroll to see the rest of the slots
* How do I know "ingame" which crafted product is in which "buff" category?
In your Pantry, for example, accessible from your Barn Inventory, you'll see on the "tooltips" (the info bubbles) which category each product is in:

* What happens when I eat a Diamond product, for example?
As usual, after having clicked on the fork/spoon icon, you'll be asked to confirm that you really want to "eat" this product.

Once you've validated, you'll see your "buff" in the corresponding diamond slot:

* Can I also eat a Gold product and silver products?
Yes, you have 2 slots for Gold products, therefore you can eat 2 different gold-type crafted products
And you have 4 slots for Silver products, therefore you can eat 4 different silver-type crafted products

* If I eat 4 apple jams, will it use up 1 slot? or 4 slots?
As shown below, eating several identical products will stack them on one single slot:
Similarly, if you've already eaten 4 apple jams, and you eat 1 more apple jam, it will extend the time shown on the Buff-Slot
* What will happen if I have already eaten a Diamond Product, and I try to eat a 2nd Diamond Product ?
When you attempt to "eat" more than you have available slots for, you'll receive a warning pop-up that you don't have any available slots
* Can I delete an existing "buff" if I wish to use that slot for another product?
Yes.
All you need to do, is to click the small "x" at the top right of the slot that you want to 'free', then confirm your choice.
The deleted product will disappear.
The slot will be 'available' for another product of your choice.

* Will my Pets use up these slots?
No.
Pets "buffs" will be displayed on the top-line, as shown here:

* Will the Easter Row of Clouds use up one of the slots?
No, it will use up a space on the top row for "other buffs"
