Upcoming Changes to Bahamarama

Aloha Farmers,

We’ve got a few important announcements to make today about Bahamarama. With the tropical island set to become a member of the United Farm Union, a few things will be changing on Bahamarama:

• Farewell shell money
Whoever joins the United Farm Union has to use the union’s official currencies: Barnyard bills and Country coins. Using these currencies makes it easier to trade Bahamarama products on the world market. All shell money in the possession of farmers will be converted into Country coins, of course.

• Good-bye air miles and island airport
Since players can now activate the airport via the Tree of Wisdom, there’s no need to collect air miles to fly to the airport anymore. You’ll still be able to get banner messages and special fertilizer via the Farm Wheel, shop and special rewards. All air miles used already will be taken into account for purchasing Baharama carvings.

• Hello new perk
Thanks to Bahamarama’s entry into the United Farm Union, they can now import a miracle spray to combat weeds! In the future, farmers will be able to grow crops on their tropical island just as fast as they do on their normal farms.

As soon as these changes are made, you’ll be able to find further information in an FAQ in the forum.

Here’s hoping that the new currency makes island tourism boom once again.

1. What on Bahamarama will be changed and why?

a. The flight miles will be abolished.
Since you now can unlock the island in the tree of wisdom, we want to abolish the extra miles as currency. The greetings and Susie's Super fertilizers will stay in the game.

b. The Palm penny will be abolished.
Many of you are piling Palm Pennys while Country Coins are sometimes scarce. Therefore, we want to abolish the additional currency Palm Pennys and include Bahamarama again into the economic cycle of the entire game.

c. The time until the island is overgrown with weeds, is extended.
We want to continue using and enforcing the products of the island in quests and events. To improve the cultivation of the small area of the island, the weeds should not destroy your harvest so soon. In the future, it will take almost as long as on your normal farm until the weeds grow here.

2. How exactly does the elimination of flight miles work?
From the time of the announcement, there is a transition period of one month. During this period, you can still continue to use your flight miles as normal. One month later, by early July, they will be taken completely out of the game. All that date remaining miles are either: automatically credited for unlocking Bahamarama OR (if you've already unlocked Bahamarama) into Susie's super fertilizer.

3. How can I unlock Bahamarama now and in the future?
In the transition month you can use up your remaining miles. The more miles you turn into flight hours, the more the price is reduced for the Bahamarama rune in the tree of wisdom. After the expiry of the transitional month, the remaining flight miles will automatically be counted and changed into a discount on the rune. If you have not unlocked Bahamarama by then, you can then unlock it with the rune on the tree of wisdom.

4. What happens to the airport?
Because of serious environmental pollution, the city council decided to demolish the airport. The demolition work has already started and will last for just a month. During that period,
you can still use the airport as usual.

5. How will I get to the island in the future?
In the future, you can reach the island via the map (shortcut "^" or "AltGr" or by clicking on the map). If you have just unlocked Bahamarama, press F5 to ensure that the map is updated.

6. What will happen to Susie's super fertilizer?
You can still use Susie's super fertilizer. You will be able to get Susie's super fertilizer: - in the farm shop for real currency - in the farm wheel - As a reward in quests and events In the future, the helper machines will also have an option to automatically deploy Susis super fertilizer.

7. What will happen to Susie's greetings?
You can still send messages with the aircraft. You can get the greetings after the transitional period:
- in farm shop for real currency
- in the farm wheel
- as a reward in quests and events

8. What can I win in farm wheel if the flight miles disappear?
After the end of the month you can win the following instead of air miles in Farm Wheel:
- Susi's super fertilizer
- Susi's greetings
- stars

9. How does the abolition of the Palm pennies work?
Your Palm will be exchanged into Country Coins at a conversion price: 1 Palm Penny:5 Country Coins

In the future, you will buy all the seeds, stables and trees on the island with County Coins. In the market the island's products will also be traded with Country Coins.

Flight Lesson to Stars Ratio
The flight miles and stars are calculated by percentage. Example: If you have already taken 70% of the flight lessons, then you will need to pay only 30% of stars for the Bahamarama rune. If you have taken only 50% of the flight lessons, you will have to pay 50% of the stars for the rune.

Seed use after Harvest
The seeds on Bahamarama will be changed, too: They will be the same as on the normal farm: harvested crops can be used to plant again.
