{FAQ}: Art Week 2013

ART WEEK 2013

from April 04th to March 10th, 2013

* What is the minimum level required for this Event?

Level 2

* How can I access the event?

From Level 2+ you'll be able to see the Quest in the Farmers Society and the Event Place in front of the Farmers Society:

* What is special about this event?

Firstly, there is a special type of crop in 2 varieties (from lvl 2) to grow during this Event:

Rubia

Time: 4 hours
EP (2x2): 32 EP
Plant category: "Event"
Event value: 5 CC
Can be grown on all farm fields (including Bahamarama)

Comfort Rubia

Time: 8 hours
EP (2x2): 56 EP
Plant category: "Event"
Event value: 8 CC
Can be grown on all farm fields (including Bahamarama)

You will receive 10 of each of Rubia and Comfort Rubia seeds. They will not be in the Seed Shop, nor will they be buyable/sellable at the market. Alchemy gnomes do not affect the growth time of the event plants. If you drop down to zero of any of these two crops, you'll receive 5 new seeds after about 5 hours (regardless of which plant is active).

Both seeds can be sown on both normal and swift meadows (usable at level 60). Please note that the harvest amount for Rubia and Comfort Rubia is the same, it is only determined by the plot size (e.g: on a 2x2 plot, either crop will give you 5 seeds, just like any other farm crop) and harvest bonuses (such as Carrot Apple Chutney, Pumpkin Jam, Suzy's Super-grow etc).
  • You can only use 1 crop type at a time. At the start of the event the Rubia is the default active plant (the 4h growing plant). You will only be able to plant this type of Rubia, at least until your first switch (which is free).
  • The event does not require using the switch, it is just an optional feature implemented for the users who want to experience playing with both plant types
  • The active plant can be switched at any time in the event, using the Switch button in the Quest layer

You will then see the following layer:

  1. Only the first switch is free (activate comfort rubia (8h) over the normal rubia (4h) ). You will have the 8h plants active and ready to be planted, and the 4h will be rendered inactive. All the subsequent switches will cost each 15 BBs (for example when trying to switch back to active 4h plants).
  2. All your event plants will be visible at all times in the Barn, but you can only sow one plant (the active one).
  3. The switch will not affect maturing plants (for example, if your fields are sown with normal rubia and you switch to comfort rubia, the already planted seeds will not switch, you will still have to harvest the normal rubia). The change will, however, lock your existing plants in the barn and enable the other type of plants (so, using the example above, you will harvest your normal rubia but you will not be able to plant them again, because the comfort rubia are now active).
  4. The switch will not change one type of the plant into the other, it simply switches between active/inactive plants (for example, if you have 300 rubia in your barn and you decide to switch, the comfort rubia will become active but your 300 normal rubia will stay in your barn, inactive). You will only be able to use the comfort rubia that you have available at the time of the switch.
  5. The donation layer will accept both the active and inactive plant values.
  6. If you don't see the event plants in the donation layer, it means you don't have them in your Barn.

Secondly, The Event requires a drop, Paintbrush, that will appear when you harvest any of your lands, any of your crops/trees/animals, including Bahamarama (level 2+):

Gifts are possible as usual: sending up to 5 (7 with rune), getting up to 20. If all free-gifts were used it will cost the same price as you would pay in the shop.

You'll see how many you have collected in your Barn under "Other".

* What do i receive from my Magic tree during this event?

If you have a magic tree, you will receive 1 Paintbrush every 24h if harvested during this event (and the EP of course).

* How will this Event work?

You will find the the Event Quest in the Farmer's Society.
